Make It Happen in Your School
Requirements
- Applicants for the 2008-2009 academic year “Make
It Happen” program must apply in teams of two to five
educators from a school.
- Each member of the school team must have attended the
same one of the Summer 2008 AFRE Academies:
- All four days of Standards-Based
Instructional Planning and Designing on June 9-12 (Casa Grande)
- All four days of Keys to Instructional
Excellence on June 23-26 (Tucson) or July 14-17 (Phoenix)
- All four days of Understanding by
Design (UbD) on July 7-10 (Central Phoenix)
- Four of the five days of the AZventure
Academy on five separate dates in June and July
- Three days of Global Climate Change
facilitated by AFRE and SRP on June 3-5
- Team applications and two letters of support must be
received by AFRE no later than Wednesday, August 27, 2008.
Application Process
Congratulations! Your school team of two to five members
just completed a Summer 2008 Academy - the same academy together!
Phase I of the Application Process is described briefly
below and in full on the two documents that you will download and
print:
- Download, print and read 2008-2009
"Make it Happen" Educator Support Program to understand the full
requirements of this program and the two-phase application
process.
- Download, print, and complete electronically (Microsoft
Word) the Team
Application.
- Submit your application and letters of support to AFRE
no later than Wednesday, August 27, 2008.
- All teams will be notified about the selection outcome
on September 3, 2008.
- Selected teams will start Phase II by attending an
all-day workship on either Saturday, September 6 or September 20,
2008. It is preferred that the whole team attend on the same
date.
