One of the things that makes AFRE’s AZventure Series
so unique is that participants frequently go into the field or
behind the scenes and gain real-world knowledge of Arizona’s
natural resources and their related industries.
AFRE’s partners generously open their doors,
providing on-site expeditionary learning experiences and access to
experts in their field. Teachers experience first-hand the
connections between what they are teaching and its application in
the workplace. The result is engaging and relevant understandings
which they share with their students in the classroom.
Our corporate and industry partners also provide AFRE with
financial support, which allows us to offer the vast majority of
the AZventure Series events at no cost to Arizona’s
K-12 teachers and informal educators.
